Points for Quantas flight to New Zealand

Hi I tried looking up flight to New Zealand, after seeing page re The two easy ways to use Avios points to fly to Australia and New Zealand. This states 180k avios for business class return flight from London to Auckland however it was 360k points. Did I do something wrong?

Presume you’re looking at Qatar rather than Qantas?

Qatar have redemption options at double the Avios when the standard seats are already gone – you’ll see a little flag in the corner when these are showing. You’ll need to be flexible to find the standard redemptions, either on date or destination. If heading for Auckland, consider Sydney, Brisbane, or Melbourne as well with a short hop across the Tasman afterward.

watch out as those short hops across the Tasman can cost upwards of AUD500 one way in economy these days….was AUD1000 over Christmas
