Post disappeared

Great forum! Just noticed a strange behaviour. Made a post

then edited it.. and now it’s vanished. No idea why!

Made a post (on a different thread). It shows up as the last post for that thread on the “recent posts” page, yet when you go to the thread it’s not there!

I’ve just seen the same thing happen on the Creation Bashing thread. I wonder if correcting one word has put it into moderation as attempting to repost the same text fails with a message saying “I’ve already said that”… if that’s case it would be helpful to be told when something goes into moderation, and perhaps tighten up (and publish) the rules where it does.

And for me too. Oddly it doesn’t show in ‘recent posts’ that the thread has been updated, and I did not receive an on-screen message informing me it’s gone for moderation, but if I try to post the same again it gives the duplicate message as @marks7389 had

Every time it asks me to verify i’m not a bot the post doesn’t post, seems if I quote a large amount of text it requires this, but a simply reply seems to go through fine.

I lost a detailed reply to someone today. The original reply was blank as mistakenly submitted (takes ages to scroll down that little box to position after a quote if on mobile and fat finger accidentally submitted).. Edited it immediately and typed a detailed reply with my one finger typing on Android phone. Submitted it and it disappeared. Thoroughly browned off as I’d delayed something to type it and the system lost it.

I’ll take a guess that as my one finger typing on phone probably took 6 or 7 minutes rather than 5 and it was an Edit, the system lost it. Unimpressed.
