Premium Plus companion voucher – can I book with another Amex?

Hi, i managed to achieve my BA Premium Plus companion voucher, and was going to cancel my card but I just called AMEX and the agent said i have to make my companion booking using that card or i lose it.

I thought that i could use any amex to make the companion booking (i have another)?

The agent was giving you out of date information (although in practice you’d been able to use any Amex card for as long as I can remember):
