For the first time in a long while I’ve found myself with a big chunk of Accor points expiring in 3 weeks. I’ve actually got my next Accor stay starting on the day of expiry, but assume that won’t register in time to prevent all my points expiring. I’m heading to South America shortly with all my hotels booked so can’t add another stay before then.
To avoid hassle of converting Amex points – airline miles – Accor etc, can I simply book a flexible hotel stay now for sometime next year, use all my points for that, and then subsequently cancel after my Accor stay in 3 weeks resets my clock? I’ll aim to book something I might actually use obviously but not really sure what I am doing next year yet.
Cheers!
