As per the title, I’ve a PP card via current account with my bank (Danske UK), it used to be unlimited vists for me and a guest, then was downgraded to some years ago to only 10 visits per year.
I haven’t used it in few years, as I use the PP card supplied via AMEX for my usual lounge access. (Free for me + one guest, further additional guests £24)
I’m travelling with a couple of colleagues next week. Rather than use my Amex PP, and have to pay a £24 supplement for the third guest, would it make more sense to utilise my Danske PP?
I’m unsure if be accessing a lounge with 2 guests, would this count as three “debits” from my total of ten visits, or would it be one debit off my total of ten visits, and 2 additional guests? (which Danske bill additional visits at £17.50 IIRC)
Finally, I know Amex PP isn’t included in most of the restaurant credit at some LCY outlets for example, but would I be eligible via my Danske PP?
Thanks all.
Typically when cards come with packages such as ‘10 visits’, no charges are debited until all the free visits are exhausted. You can even take 9 guests with you first time. But best to check the terms of your credit card for any cap on number of guests for each visit.
If the bank doesn’t provide you with a list of lounges, it usually includes the restaurants. You’ll have to call PP to confirm this.

Thanks,I looked at the T&C’s on the banks website, but they’re pretty vague, and refers to both the personal and business credit card PP offerings. I’ll ring PP and see if they can enlighten me.
Update – PP said they don’t know what I’m entitled to, and to check with my bank… 🤷♂️
It’s because in reality the card is charged but they don’t pass it on to you.
If it’s anything like Amex Gold then it’s as per above you could do 1 visit with 9 guests or 5 with 1 guest etc. it’s just the charge for the first 10 visits which are not passed on.
Correct!
I got a reply from my bank today (Sunday) which was quite impressive. They confirmed the following –
“As you have a Platinum Plus priority pass, there is no charge for the first 10 visits of the calendar year, however anymore that 10 visits would then be charged at £15 per visit.
The first 10 visits also include any guests you may have travelling with you, for example, if you, the card holder were to bring 9 guests into the lounge in one visit, then you and your guests will have no more free visits until the following January. “
