Priority Passes for family of 5

My wife just upgraded from the Gold to Platinum card, to take advantage of the 80k offer.

We’re travelling as a family of 5 in April and had intended on using the 4 PP passes included with Gold for one of our airport waits, then paying for one extra guest.

Now she’s upgraded, she and I both have the PP pass (I’m a supplementary) with +1 guest each.

My question: when upgrading, certain Gold benefits/offers seem to have continued on eg the Deliveroo offer. Might this apply to the PP? Ie will her 4 free passes from her Gold card still be active, alongside our new PP passes? If so, that would mean all 5 of us could use lounges on multiple parts of our trip.

Nope. Only the offers saved in card account will be retained.
PP will change immediately when the underlying card changes. Either that or Amex will send you new PP cards.

Yes although there are some quirks… you might end up with a new PP number… so you could try to login to your “old” gold pp and see if still valid. We had a weird situation where I downgraded to gold and so did my pp status, but hubby’s stayed as platinum (supplementary card holder) and we used his without problem, a couple of times, as if we still had platinum…
