Bidding for MD8 (all 18 matches to be played simultaneously on 29 Jan) is now open.
Bidding closes 10 days before the game.
I don’t understand why they don’t list and end the auction earlier.
With the small timeframe now between auction end and gameday, it will only force the winner to pay inflated prices for flights and/or hotels. Ironically, perhaps these games will go for a relatively cheaper amount.
I thought they had improved matters with MD7 (14 days before, up from 9 or 10 days before for the previous auctions).
It’s not ideal, but it seems to be in line with the closing date for other auctions / competitions for UEFA tickets.
Can anyone log in / place bids? I’ve been trying on and off for the last few hours – transferred avios over from BAEC fine, but won’t let me get to the final bidding page. So I’m watching Strictly on Tour count down… and can’t bid at all.
Have tried multiple devices and browsers… even created a new Privelage club account… it still won’t load the page that the “Bid now” button links too…
Any help appreciated… or else good luck to whoever has that top bid! 🙂

I’ve had issues for the last 3 days. Very frustrating!
The issue has been fixed, as evident with the bidding activity today for the CL games 🙂
Is there any way to get tickets to regular games at these grounds through Qatar or is it only CL?

Most, if not all, PSG and Inter Milan home games are also subject to Privilege Club auctions. This is because Qatar have sponsorship agreements with both teams. Otherwise, it’s CL only (Qatar is the official UEFA CL airline sponsor).
If we are saving points planning to make a “big bid” for the CL Final, what predictions on how much that will go for?
If a Liverpool league round match went for 202k Avios the Final may go for who knows how much!!
However the match is in Munich (the UK matches tend to go higher) and also I suppose it depends on who the participating teams are (PL teams again tend to go higher as do possibly Real Madrid and Barca regardless of what we may think of those teams).

Also, CL knockout phase play off games are being listed this morning for bidding.
I notice that not all the knockout games are listed. I wonder why that is?
I have checked the terms and conditions, and there is no mention of an age limit for attendance. Does anyone know if under 16s are permitted to attend with these tickets (with an accompanying adult of course)? Thanks!

Could be the short turnaround between the draw and actual matches.

Yes, as mentioned in previous posts, plenty children have been seen in the Champions Club.
Also there is nothing in the Qatar Airways “info pack” which winners receive that mentions any minimum age requirement.
Could be the short turnaround between the draw and actual matches.
I don’t think it’s that – other matches on the same dates are available.

That doesn’t seem to be a criterion.

Thought I’d post a post a report on the Inter Milan v Forentina game from last night that I went too, the tickets were won for 15,200 avios.
Hospitality was available in their club legends lounge which was at gate 7 and access was available 2 hours before. Qatar privilege got in touch after I’d won the bidding to request passport names and numbers for the tickets and then issued them via email 5 days before the game.
The lounge at the San Siro was fairly basic with another 8 tables of 10 seats on each and they were all various other sponsors. When we arrived we were first into the lounge and it didn’t start to fill up for another 30mins so there was no atmosphere at all.
Food was served straight away and was a set 3 course menu, starter was a duck pasta which as average, main was a beef with Palestine which everyone seemed to love but not my cup of tea and the dessert was a lemon cheesecake which was easily the best course.
Drinks were served via waiters and consisted of either red wine, white wine, prosecco, Heineken or pepsi. Measures were a little stingy and slow to be served so we bunged our waiter €20 and he was more than happy to double up on drinks and made sure our glasses never saw the bottom, definitely worth the tip!About 5 mins before KO we ventured outside where seating was a 1 mind walk away from the lounge through some double doors. Seat were just to the right of the halfway line and we were row 10 so had an amazing view of the pitch.
At halftime they allow you back into the lounge where they offer coffee and more drinks and a cookie but when the teams are back out they round people up and start to kick them out.
There was no access back into the lounge at fulltime which was disappointing. When we were at the table a Qatar representative came over and introduced themselves for a quick 2 mins chat but nothing ground breaking.
Overall the experience was good for the amount of avios I paid but I’d not want to go more than 20k for tickets if bidding again.
Thanks for the report – did you not get a pitchside tour?
No nothing like that unfortunately, I was expecting to be allowed down onto the pitch as well but might be because Qatar aren’t the main sponsor for Inter Milan that we didn’t (they only sponsor the training kit).
