How can i stop my Avios expiring in my Qatar account?

I’ve just transferred some avios from the BA Exec club over to Qatar, but the February 2025 date is still showing.
I’ve also just transferred some HSBC points, but this hasn’t sorted the issue either.

Unless there is a quick win here, I think I’ll just transfer it all back to BA Exec Club.

Isn’t that the sensible thing to do? You can then move the points back over to your QR account when you need to spend them…

Despite my accounts being linked it wouldn’t let me transfer out of Qatar, but it would let me transfer in.

So I thought moving some points from HSBC would do the trick, but the date didn’t move. Perhaps an IT issue?

I’ve since unlinked, and relinked and all is good.

For some reason when I transferred points from BA to QR, the expiry date on my QR account was updated to 3 years after I last earned avios with BA.
