Qatar Avios business redemption costs double

Hi anyone know why all Qatar avios redemptions are only billable at double avios ?

You only pay “double” avios with Qatar when their standard avios seat allocation have gone, they will still sell you an avios seat, but at twice the price

You pay double Avios if there isn’t U class availability.

And when it happens always check the cash price on both QR and competitors before handing over the avios. Renember too that cash flights will get you avios plus TP (or other miles and EQM) as part of the deal. If needed, you could help pay for the cash flight by cashing out avios at Sainsbury’s.
