I booked an economy Avios redemption flight DOH-FCO on Qatar a while ago as a backup because there were no business options available (only that double price thing that Qatar does. No thanks!)
Anyway, I got another redemption on BA for the route in business and have been meaning to cancel the QR economy but let it slide as a backup, “just in case”.
Yesterday, QR notified me of a schedule change to the economy flight. It’s a significant change to the 16:00h departure I had booked, it’s now early morning and a different flight number too. So, QR requires me to review this change and accept or request a refund. Does that mean, being their “fault”, that I will get my refund without having to pay the $25/50 (can’t recall how much the fee is right now) per seat?
