Hi, Can anyone tell me if there has been a change in policy with collecting tier points on Qatar flights. Previously if you did LHR to Doha and onto, say Africa, you’d collect 280 tier points for the two legs. The BA Tier Point calculator shows 140 when you enter the flight, yet put the legs in as separate flights and it is 280. I’m about to spend £1k more on a flight to help maintain my status but will be short if it is only 280 tier points total. Thank you.
Hello Jonathan.
When you say you entered the “flight”, what exactly did you enter? Was it LHR to final destination?
That will be searching the tier points for a Direct flight.
For connecting flights, you search each flight separately, because tier points are awarded for each segment.
It is also unclear what you mean be each leg. Are you counting outbound as one leg, or inbound as another?
In general, search each flight separately (not sure about flights with a stop but the same flight number, but I don’t think it applies in your case.)
