Hello am considering getting the Amex platinum card to take advantage of the bonus points offer. I had a question about eligibility – am based in the UK and have a BA Amex but no other Amex here. HOWEVER I have realised that I have an Australian gold Amex from over a decade ago which is still active. I haven’t used it in several years and it doesn’t have an annual fee anymore but I used to get reward points when I first got it.
Does anyone know if that Australian card would affect my eligibility for the bonus points on a UK card? Thanks in advance.

In my experience with UK and US Amex cards, cards from one country do not affect SUB eligibility in the other.
There is a question about having Amex cards from other countries in the UK Platinum application though.
