Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Quick question regarding value for points/money

I feel like I should know this, and it is a bit subjective, but of the list below is the third option 69,000 + £70, giving me good value for my avios please? Is this what would have been called a RFS price ?

Do I add up £690 for the avios plus £70, giving me a total of £760?

    89000 Avios + £ 2.00

    86000 Avios + £ 18.00

    69000 Avios + £ 70.00

    63000 Avios + £ 100.00

    47000 Avios + £ 250.00

    35000 Avios + £ 330.00

Using a rough value of 1p per Avios, then yes adding the ‘value’ of the Avios to the cash element allows you to compare the different options. By that method, the last option generates the lowest number (680) but which option is best in an individual case depends to some extent on you being Avios rich or poor. And yes, these are RFS prices

The Avios/cash mix is often not logical in maths terms, but as said:
    – aim for min of 1pp Avios, unless
    – you don’t want to save the Avios for later, in which case any benefit is worth having

    Thank you both.

Fully flexible tickets for the same date fights are £2,588.38, so it appears to be a good saving, albeit if I was paying cash I wouldn’t book fully-flex, in fact I would probably book economy over club and take the hit if I had to cancel.

In terms of my own collection I am not avios rich think I have 300k at the moment though so enough to cover any CW options with they pop their heads up.
