Quick query about when I should be concerned that a flight hasn’t been ticketed.

Background is that I booked 2 return GLA-LCY-EAS reward flights a few months back, flying out on 6th March 2025 and returning on the 9th.

Got an email last Monday to let me know the LCY-EAS legs had been cancelled. Flights were available the following week on the 13th, returning the 16th, so rebooked and updated accomodation dates.

Manage My Booking is now showing 5 flights – it’s still got the original GLA-LCY flight on the 6th as part of the itinerary as well as the 4 (correct) flights across the 13th and 16th.

None of the flights appear to have been ticketed yet, so seat selection isn’t an option, which it was for the original booking. I’ve also had no confirmation email for the updated booking.

Is this something which should sort itself out or do I need to be more pro-active and contact BA?

Definitely ring then asap . No harm in being proactive, better to get certainty. You will need to get it sorted before you fly. Over a week seems to be a long time to wait for email confirmation.

By the way why didn’t you insist they rebooked you with someone else on your original dates.

The rerouting option was EDI-MAD-EAS, and the flight times were crap.

They reticket in date order which is a right pain, the problem is by the time they do credit card details if needed fall off. I understand why they do it but it’s very frustrating for the customer.

Hopefully shouldn’t be an issue as the original flight has been paid for.

Chase them up on Xwitter every couple of weeks.
