I’m trying to search Reward availability from Dublin to JFK on the BA website for January 2025 and it won’t let me get past the “choose stopover option” to get through to availability. If I look at buying a ticket with cash, the only flights it brings up are connecting flights through LHR and no direct Dublin – JFK flights (even though there are several every day) Am I going to need to join AerClub and transfer Avios to do this? Thanks
What do you mean exactly? Are you selecting “no stopover”?
I had this issue last summer when I was speculatively looking at DUB-JFK flights, as my initial plan for my 40th next year was to go to New York.
In fact, doing a dummy booking now gives the same issue. Might well be down to a lack of award availability on Aer Lingus, but searching for Dublin to JFK flights gives you a ‘sorry, no direct flights are available’ message and offers you a bunch of connections from Dublin to London and then onwards to New York.
