Reward outbound flight and cash inbound flight

Hi,

Long time subscriber but a newbie to the forums!

Want to book a reward flight with Avios on outbound but cash on inbound. Multi-city so can’t do it online. Also can’t just book outbound reward flight and then cash for return as the return flight triples in price as it’s now one way pricing. Spoke to Avios redemptions and they can’t do the return cash ticket at same time and spoke to sales and they can’t do the Avios outbound flight.

Appreciate any advice on if and how this can be done? Thanks.

It’s not possible I’m afraid. Award and revenue flights can’t be mixed in the same booking.

Could you perhaps upgrade with Avios both segments?

Thanks. Can I also avios upgrade just one way once revenue flights booked?

Yes, subject to award availability and fare rules. What are you trying to book?
