A question for the folks who use Iberia for segment runs…

The flights you used to help qualify, did you book HBO (basic) fares?

I”ve got a few Iberia flights in October, but they are all optima fares (bucket A) so I can see they qualify.
Next August I’m going to be in Madrid for a bit, and was looking at a couple of extra flights to help re-qualify for platinum when the time comes, but as these would be day trips I wouldn’t want to book luggage if I can help it.

+1 for this, thinking of doing a couple of long weekends in January to do e.g. 3 day trips in a row to bits of Spain I’ve not been to before such as Galicia and Extremadura
