Maybe they will, maybe they won’t, but you’d like to think they wouldn’t simply pull the plug overnight. Any scheme worth it’s salt would surely give you some sort of notice and let you see your current year out.

Read the RJ terms! They could add a minimum number of segments specifically on RJ overnight. That would change things rather a lot.
Calm down JDB, nobody’s arguing with you. We are all aware that these reward schemes change all the time, and sometimes at very short notice (think Radisson). But surely that’s the game you play when you sign up isn’t it.
You pays your money and you takes your chance.
But the rewards can be fabulous!
Flew two sectors last Sunday but they haven’t credited to RJ as of yet.. Worth an email or should i just wait a little longer?
I wouldn’t panic, sure it takes 72hrs even for a BA leg to credit to your Executive Club account when you fly BA!

I’m always calm, but I would suggest reading the RJ Royal Club terms. They are fairly eye popping, particularly the amount of latitude they give themselves to change almost anything without notice. You are of course correct that one takes risks with any scheme but the terms of European and US FF schemes are very different to these.
What @JDB has said, highlights what could happen without notice with RJ and is helpful when making a decision as to where to credit. However with BA’s recent announcement and IB only having to give one month’s notice, although their announcement looks like it will be 12 February, I think we have all had our eyes opened. The more information we have will help us make a decision that is right for us as individuals. What I choose might be different from my OH.
That did strike me when I read in the HFP article about crediting 46 sectors to RJ – I wonder how long that would last in practice?!
Platinum Hawk does have some intriguing benefits though, such as the guarantee to boot some hapless economy pax off a full flight if your want their seat, lol.
And it sounds very cool, like a Marvel superhero or something!
Indeed @NorthernLass – the Platinum Hawk 🦅 certainly feels a big step up from being a lowly golden sparrow 🐥!
Hi, sorry but I realise that this is a proper newbie question.
I have just booked flights on QR but added my RJ frequent flyer details. Should I be able to see the flights in my RJ account and, if so, how long should they take to show?
I’ve never done a cross-oneworld booking before (as I have never had any type of status before) so just a little confused.
Thanks

Wait until a real life hawk displaces you on a regional flight! Happened to a colleague offloaded by Gulf Air in favour of an important pax deciding to bring his hawk at the last minute. Their aircraft AUH-LHR sometimes used to divert to pick up some important person. GF was a lot better than BA, but unscheduled stops were a well known hazard.
