Are we due a sale anytime soon, possibly Bank Holiday Monday?
Don’t think there will be a general sale for quite some time with their being less capacity but strong demand they don’t need to encourage bookings.
That’s not to say there won’t be specific reductions on some routes but those aren’t necessarily advertised.
I am seeing signs of softening in flight and hotel pricing as the Summer draws to a close. The place where we are tonight is ‘only’ 35% more than it was 30 months ago when I last stayed, and that was a February night, not August.
Hopefully things will slowly drift back towards normal – if only because sales are normally good for advertising deals for us!
The luxury market isn’t softening though. I see IC Le Grand in Paris sold out for dates in October, and our old favourite Four Seasons Hampshire is still £860 per night for October weekends vs £375 pre covid. OK, it was £995 last weekend but still ….
