I booked a flight back in Jan from LCY to LIN on ITA Airways on a non-refundable ticket.
Few days back, I got a mail from ITA stating that the outbound flight will be rescheduled for 55 mins later. There was no indication on the e-mail about giving the customers an option to choose a different flight. Previously, they rescheduled the return flight (advanced by 40 mins).
I guess 55 mins isn’t much of a delay but it so happens that I do have plans which may be affected and I would rather take an earlier flight on BA.
My question is is this enough grounds to ask for a full refund of the ticket? Also has anyone had a similar experience of getting a ticket refunded because a flight was rescheduled by a short time?
Thank you in advance.
@inman – a minor schedule change like this doesn’t give rise to any rights, but there’s nothing to be lost in asking ITA if they would agree to help you although I doubt that will stretch to rebooking on BA.

Thank you. Just to clarify, what I meant was to cancel the ticket for a refund and didnt mean asking ITA to rebook me on BA. I’m sure that would sound absurd 🙂
