Seat Availability – x hours before flight?

Does anyone know when all the seats get released for Virgin Atlantic flights that are currently unbookable in the seat reservation system? is it 72 hours like BA?

24 hours beforehand when the flight is passed to airport control.

For completeness, if you’re wondering why they do this, then they reserve the bulkheads to allow for those who need the space – passengers with disabilities, children requiring bassinets etc.
