Anyone found SeatSpy isn’t accurate? Its telling me BA has 4 seats available for Singapore > London on the 27/04/25 but when I try this with BA it says no seats available? Am I missing something here?
It’s never 100% reliable, but someone could have literally just booked those seats and SeatSpy won’t have updated.
To be fair to Seatspy – BAs own Reward Flight Finder is showing First seats to Singapore but when click through to booking show not available !
Yes, used to be great but recently you can’t rely on Seatspy. Been looking at flights next year to South America and everything I checked was wrong, either no availability when Seatspy said there was or just fewer seats available

Yes that has been our experience in the last few weeks – phantom availability and also real availability not showing and this isn’t a new issue. It cannot be relied upon.
Seatspy has always had reliability issues. I found the customer service response when complaining about phantom seats to be substandard, if paying for a service I think the product needs to deliver what it claims to do. I now only use seatspy for the alerts service, when I have a need. For an availability search I use the BA tools, which I find to be far more reliable.
Just by way of illustration, I’ve just had the email alert from SeatSpy for the VS seats I booked nearly 36 hours ago!
