Forums Other Destination advice Self catering villas in chain groups

I’m aware of a number of independent resorts that have self-catering villas attached to them which enable you to use the hotel facilities but with the independence of having your own space/kitchen etc. With small kids this makes life somewhat easier.

My question is whether any of the major hotel chains offer something similar in terms of both earning and even redeeming. Look forward to hearing any recommendations

There’s IHGs Club Vacations brand which is all villa but has typical facilities on site, only has properties in the USA though.

There are some Domes articles https://www.headforpoints.com/?s=domes that may be of interest.

We stayed at a Marriott Vacation Club property on the Costa del Sol that was like this. Think it may have closed/been reflagged now though. There are plenty around there and also the Algarve. Hilton Grand Vacations is another big chain worth looking at. Just give the time share presentations a wide berth, as that’s what typically sits behind these operations (you just book cash stays as you would with a hotel).

Fairmont Royal Palm Marrakech does – I would also be keen to hear of more hotels, as this worked really well for our recent family trip.

    Homes and Villas by Marriott.

Some beachside Marriott hotels have villas, you book a standard room on points and pay cash for an upgrade to a villa.

Marriott Executive Apartments, but these are not really in beach resorts.
