We stayed at the four seasons which you can book via a luxury travel agent like Emyr or maybe Amex fine hotels. The rooms are quite large by Seoul standards and walking distance from some of the famous sites.
+1 for the Four Seasons!
If you are contemplating something at the FS price level, the (original) Shilla is another option in an unusually nice setting for a giant city.
+1 for the Fours Seasons, it is excellent. If you’re looking at something else (and a different, but also excellent part of town), then the Park Hyatt in Gangnam is also very, very good. Conrad in Yeouido and The Westin near. City Hall are also solid options.
