This. They have very little regard for hygiene, including when it comes to food, spa areas etc. The chances of falling ill are high. If you put cream on a turd, it’s still a turd.
In my experience, Sharm competes with Agadir as the worst place outside London I’ve ever visited.
Agadir is marginally better due to costing less for your inevitable disappointment.
I’ve never been, but there have been quite a few reports of shark attacks recently 😱
We were there in January. Had a great time. Didnt do anything apart from hang out at pool/beach though, apart from a couple of nights out at very blingy Soho Square
We didnt have any stomach issues,everyone we met was friendly and valued us being there.
Its cheap and if you take cash then you can exchange it for 60 EGP compared to official rate of 38EGP out an ATM.
