currently on silver with card membership end 31st May 2024 and TP collection ends 8th Apr 2023. I would like to achieve Gold before the current reduced TP changes as my understanding if I am down graded I will go only gold to silver rather than to blue. currently on 990 TP and have completed 4 flights. Lifetime TP 1860. Any advice on cheapest and fastest route to get to Goldthank you
Not sure what you might have already looked at yourself, however Robs recent article should help – looks like you need 135 TPs to reach the gold threshold if done before end December 2022 (1125-990)

One CE trip to a longer distance Europe destination eg Greece, Canaries, Malta, Sofia , Marrakesh etc is 160TPs
Or a 5 night BA Holiday to anywhere in Europe , eligible for double TPS, is also 160 TPS

That would give you gold to May2024, and then a soft landing to Silver the following year
Silver status members soft land on Bronze rather than Blue
As long as you do tge required flights before 31 Dec 2022 you only need another 135TP so I recommend a return trip in Club to an 80TP each way destination such as Malta or Cyprus or Tenerife.
Would highly recommend Sofia. If staying 1 night very inexpensive Intercontinental Hotel which is accessed on a 40p 20 minute train ride from the Airport.
If priority is cheapest and quickest then Gatwick to Marrakesh day trip on 8 Dec in CE for £199 plus 5k Avios looks like a candidate
thank you everyone for your advice. I had forgotten that I still had double TP points to be added which finally have arrived to my account. I have made it Gold 🙂 with current status 1130 TP and TP collection ends 04/23 and lifetime TP at 2000 and 200,000 avios.
Not sure what I should be doing next maximise status 🤔
