I so often see recommendations to pick the farther back seats in Club World on the A350 that are effectively in their own 12 seat cabin, past the first galley. However, BA typically quickly run out of meal options. If you are sitting in that section – do they run a separate meal service – or do you need to wait for the trolley to make it from 1A to 17A before you get to make your choice?
It’s not a separate service per se, but they might start serving from both ends. In CW they take the orders first, then it seems that if there is an issue with the number of meals, status can come into play in regard to who gets what! However, you’re far less likely to run out of meal options in CW than in CE, though if BA would just bring back the option to pre-select one’s meal, it would avoid this problem, at least for those who chose to avail themselves of it!
*Just thinking back to my last 2 CW flights, I’m sure they went round the cabin taking orders just after take off, and the meal was served a couple of hours into the flight.
I don’t think their A350 has two meal gallies, so there isn’t a separate service.
