Hi All! We are planning a trip to SA end-March/ Early-April 2025 and were wondering if it’s a good time of the year to visit? I have read at places that this tends to be a wet time there so it’s not ideal for visiting Kruger etc.
Is that the case?We stayed at a game reserve in Sabi Sands in March ’23 and it was outstanding. We had a couple of small showers but nothing significant. We saw the Big 5 every day during the game drives plus some rare bonus sightings (wild dogs). It was truly memorable.
Personally I don’t think there is a bad time to visit KNP, so if that is the time you are in SA make sure you go. The scenery is much lusher which can make sightings more difficult. However there are different things, such as foals/cubs, to see. I will admit, though, that July/August is my favourite time, but I am happy just to sit watching a watering hole for hours.
