Status benefits – date of booking or flying?

I am currently silver and will go down to bronze at the end of month.
I have a flight next month, assume I will not get any benefits or silver like lounge access (not worried as I have Amex Platinum) but would I get checked baggage allowance as per booking email which says 2 bags as opposed to 1?

This is an Avios RFS and purely an academic question as I will not be checking in any bag.

Status counts at Flying.

You get to choose seats based on whenever you have status, but they may not stick once status is lost.

Thanks for advice on Seat Selection, almost forgot about that.
Now selected the seats and hope it says, but as a solo traveller on this booking not worried if BA changes it later on once the status is gone!
