Hi. I discovered some half term availability on Avios.com that is not shown by either BA or Iberia on their respective Book with Avios tools. That in itself seems weird. Completing the booking has been impossible, as it fails at the final screen post-authorisation. A pending charge is applied to my card (I now have several on two different cards) but no Avios are debited. I have tried different browsers, incognito mode, different operating systems, Amex and Visa, and even my iPhone. Don’t they want my money?! Call centre closed until Monday but I am obviously keen to bag the flights before losing them.
Any suggestions from people with experience of Avios.com ?
There was a thread about issues with avios.com recently – where are you trying to book to? I think the person who posted eventually called avios.com and was told it was “fake” availability showing, however I think they did manage to book via BA in the end.
