Suite Night Awards can’t be applied

Recently I have booked some prepaid stays via Marriott for next year in Abu Dhabi Hong Kong and Macau

I’ve tried to apply my suite night awards however all hotels and destinations it saying not eligible

Why is that ?

It’s st Regis Doha , W Macau and Mira Hong Kong

Are these new awards newly generated after you hit 50 nights this year?

If you have an upgrade voucher in your account which you received because you earned Platinum for 2024, it must be used for a stay which occurs by 31 December 2024.

Have you checked expiry dates of your vouchers? Some hotels don’t participate in SNA system or the rate you booked is not eligible.

In the app it’s saying the SNA are valid until 2025

I’m titanium (just got that status this month) but I got the SNA from hitting 50 nights around august time this year when platinum

I also tried in October to use them in Thailand again pre paid rates and it wouldn’t it (this was Le meridien Bangkok and Chiang Mai)

I can’t see prepaid Marriott rates are not eligible in the T&C

My reply disappeared but I asked if you were trying to apply say 5 SNAs to a 7 night stay. You can’t do that. You must have the same or more SNAs than nights in the booking

It’s not about overall T&C, individual hotels set themselves rules which rates are eligible. Some hotels don’t participate in SNA at all.

Mira is a Design hotel, so they cannot be used there

Have you checked the hotel threads on Flyertalk? People there often post about SNA / NUA success or failure. The rate should not matter, I have just applied two to a prepaid rate coming up, and I’ve applied them to corporate rates too (I think!). I also assume you are not trying to apply the same awards multiple times? If you have five and you try to apply three to one three night stay, they are locked until the system decides if you are successful or not, and you only have two to play with. If you have two three night stays 5 SNAs are not enough to apply for both

I just looked, people talk about success using SNAs at the W Macau. Someone asked about the St Regis Doha but no replies yet

hi – yes I had enough SNA to cover the stays as they were just for 1 night only … I just booked a reward stay in the W Macau for may to test for 1 night , bell icon advises stay not eligible for SNA .. just cancelled the reservation…

I think I might contact Marriott as there seems to be an issue somewhere I think or I’m just unlucky with all the hotels ive booked.

I have 5 SNA , not managed to apply them to any reservation so far… Would like to use at the st regis Abu Dhabi in particular ( 2 night stay pre paid hotel have already taken the money ) just won’t allow me to add the SNA

St Regis Abu Dhabi seems non participating property. I have done a dummy booking and flexible rate is not eligible either.

As per T&C: “Not all hotels participate in Nightly Upgrade Awards. NUAs are not redeemable at the following brands: The Ritz-Carlton Reserve, The Ritz-Carlton Destination Club, Design Hotels™, all-Suite Hotels, Marriott Executive Apartments, Marriott Vacation Club, Marriott Grand Residence Club properties and Vistana properties. In addition, NUAs may not be redeemable at select Participating Properties.In addition, NUAs may not be redeemable at select Participating Properties”

Hotels can opt out all together or at certain times when they know the occupancy will be high.
