My wife and I have a household account and both have separate Amex accounts and BAPP 2 for 1 vouchers.
I have booked LHR-CPT for both of us next January using mine, leaving wife’s unused.
My problem is, I want to go to JNB next March alone, but the remaining voucher is not in my name, so cannot be booked without my wife travelling.
Does anybody have experience of trying to swap the vouchers over (by phone)?
Needless to say, the CPT flights are no longer available so I can’t risk cancelling and paying the fee as they probably won’t end up in back in the bucket to pick up with the other voucher.
Thanks
Readers have reported that BA has swapped vouchers in cases where they have inadvertently used a newer voucher instead of an older one, but my feeling is that they would most likely say you’d need to cancel and rebook in this instance. As ever , though, you don’t know unless you ask!
I was told by BA CS that they don’t do that, which is something I’d asked exactly for that specific reason – booked with a newer voucher etc
