Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Heathrow Terminal 3 lounges

  • 8 posts

Apologies if this is a repeat. I was sure I posted on Sunday but cannot find the post 🤦🏼

I am flying from T3 to Madrid on a reward flight, BA ticketed but flying Iberia.
I have never lounged hopped and normally only use the lounge of whoever I’m flying with.
As a OWS I know I can access other lounges and so my question is on a morning flight what is the best lounge to use in T3 or should I just stay with accessing the BA lounge.

    Thanks
    Jim

Qantas and Cathay are generally regarded as the best options – don’t waste a T3 departure on the BA lounge!

When I was at T3 last time, I used the AMEX Centurion lounge if you have a Platinum card. It was an excellent lounge with a range of food. There was a review on HfP if you can find it. One disadvantage is the lack of windows/view of the runway which you get with other lounges.

How is the Centurion lounge compared to Cathay & Qantas?

I’ve always just gone straight to Cathay First.

Cathay first is still top dog; unless you want barman mixed drinks in Qantas.

is flying to Madrid and they are only Sapphire so no access to Cathay First.

I wouldn’t bother with Qantas unless there is a flight departing for Australia around the time for a la carte. Otherwise it’s a boring buffet. To me Amex Centurion beats Cathay Business if flying in the morning. The breakfast is just excellent with many more options and the drinks are amazing too with many options and they can make you whatever drink you want, just ask. I’d say visit Amex Centurion then Cathay for dim sum and views.

Qantas does the best coffee – all the other lounges are just automated bean to cup machines whereas Qantas is barista prepared.
