Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club T5 lounge access with children

  • jampot 26 posts

Hi – I’m a silver member travelling in economy this evening to CPT with wife and 2 kids (2yo and 6m). Understand I can take eh baby + 1 guest into the lounge, but would BA ever have any flexibility on this given it is a v young family? The flight is 10.30pm so expect lounges to be quiet.

Are any of the three galleries better to try this in than others?

I guess T5B is the most likely

It does happen sometimes if you ask nicely, but obviously you’d be at the discretion of the door staff. I would also have thought t5b would be the best shot, but of course it puts you a bit out of place if you get denied. CPH quite possibly would be an a gates departure too which means you’d have to walk back.

As the others say, totally discretional, but we still had a pretty
good success rate when our son was 2-3. “Sadly”, he’s v. tall, so that soon dried
    up!
Moving forward, on the odd short trip, we’ve booked non-silver OH into CE to make
sure we all have lounge access.
Have great trip, found CPH lovely & v easy for a family.

Quite right, too early in the morning for me!

Thanks for all your help – for what it’s worth, Galleries North let us in without even a question 😃

This is helpful to know. I’m flying on an evening flight to Lisbon with my 4 and 6 yr old come July and really hoping a friendly door person might let me in with both

    I wouldn’t rely on it.

Jampot has the as advantage that one of the kids is 6 months (so don’t count as a guest anyway) and the other is 2 (so closer to the cut off of being under 2 of also not counting).

Plus being on one of the last (if not the last) flights out of the day the lounges really won’t be busy.

You don’t have those same factors in your favour.
