It’s either a) suspicious; or b) a pointless upselling/marketing call. Either way ignore IMHO.

Im sure someone else messaged to ask the same thing and it was an upsell call.
I had one, it was upselling. If Barclays do call you, their practice is that they have to send you a confirmation in app. So when you are on the call, you have to go in the app to confirm it is you.
It makes me feel better that it was someone who had access to their app. Of course if they were hacked then that is another story.
I have had legitimate messages from Barclays from 60179 before

It is the latter. I have had very similar messages about every 8 months, on average, since becoming a premier customer. Legit, but totally safe to ignore.
