Good evening
Got a family member connecting to Bangkok tomorrow from Snn (hand luggage only)
Anyone know what gate area Thai use at T2? I don’t think it A gates ?
Is there a security check at Heathrow for connecting passengers ? 100ml rule no longers applies departing SNN so could he be asked to dump liquids above 100ml at connections security
lHR website usually shows which gates get used.
There will plenty of screens showing onward gates.
Yes security check and yes to have to dump liquids in more than 100ml containers (other than duty free in a STEB) even if they are using the new scanners.
They’ll be at a B gate
If they’ve got *A lounge access and a longer connection they should use the Lufthansa lounge first. Last two times I’ve flown Singapore Airlines they’re refusing entry to their lounge for anyone not flying with them until their first flight leaves (so entry from around 8pm is OK) and the other lounges in B will be closed by then
If no lounge access they shouldn’t go to B too early as very limited facilities there (just a Cafe Nero)
