For the times the route is more convenient than other airlines, the airport is more convenient or the total cost of the trip is cheaper? Picking one solely because you get status is a mug’s game. Picking one because it works for you and you also get status is a win.
Also, the custom trip facility lets you put almost any number of different elements on one booking and you only have the pay the deposit.
