I am currently Bronze with 500 tier points. Next week I fly to New York on Thursday Premium Economy and worth 100 points. This then gets me silver status. On the Sunday I fly back to Heathrow again Premium economy. How quickly does your status upgrade? Will I be Silver on the way back or does it take a while?
Thanks in advance. My current year runs out in October I will have approx 725 tier points. With the new alignment to everyone resets in April, when will I find out how long my silver status lasts for?
Thanks in advance. The status typically updates the day after the flight & points get posted, so with that window maybe or maybe not.
However, where are you flying from? UK to US direct is only 90TP. If you’re doing something else fair enough, but otherwise you won’t reach 600 until after the return anyway.
If your year ends on Oct 8th you’ll be Silver until Nov 30th 2025.
Flight on Thursday will usually post on Saturday night / Sunday morning and a similar time frame on top of that for a status change to be implemented.

Thanks in advance.I assume you will be taking an internal flight before heading to New York. LON to NYC in PE is only 90 tier points.

And if you have earned 600 or more TPs between 1 April 24 and 31 March 25 then your silver status will last until 30 April 26.
Also is the flight actually on BA metal? Otherwise timing may be extended. To be honest it’s probably more likely you won’t be silver than you will.
Thank you for the replies. I live in Jersey so it’s Jersey-Heathrow- NY and back. Whole journey is 200 points all on BA. Between April 24 and March 25 I will probably be around 300 points so I’m assuming from what you guys have said I will be silver till November 25 and then bronze between November 25 and April 26
You will be Silver until April 2026.
BA Changes to the end of tier point years will roll you until April 2026.
