I’m still a bit confused over the tier point collection date changes, and apologies if this has been asked many times before.

My current tier point earning ends on 8th January 2025 – i will have collected 710 points so i assume that will give me silver status until 31st March 2026?

I will collect 240 tier points between 9th January and 31st March 2025 – what happens to those? Do they get included in my 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026 tier points? So in effect do i have 14 months to earn enough to retain silver?

This https://www.headforpoints.com/2024/02/06/british-airways-tier-point-collection-year-changes-affect-you/ is a good article.

It is worth considering what status you’d like to have on 1st May 2026.

Have you read the BA FAQs? Check out this page, scroll down to ‘How your TP year will change’ and open up ‘Ending in January’

A simple No to that one, from 1st April 2025 everything is clean and simple. The transition is this year.

You effectively have an overlapping TP year 1st April 2024 – 31st March 2025. If you earn 600TP in that period (including the 240TP you earn Jan – Mar 2025) you will be Silver from April 2025, then have a normal year from there on. Effectively that only gets you an extra month, expiring 30th April 2026, but you’re no worse off.
