Forums Frequent flyer programs Virgin Flying Club Travel Talk forum – anyone else invited?

  • 194 posts

Anyone else had an email from Virgin Atlantic inviting you to join Travel Talk. To quote…

“We’re constantly striving to elevate your experience, and who better to guide us than you? That’s why we’re thrilled to invite you to become a member of Travel Talk. This is an exclusive, online community sponsored by Virgin Atlantic, where travel enthusiasts such as yourself can share their thoughts and opinions.

You can expect to spend 15-30 minutes a few times a month (or more if you like!) in the community interacting with other members and voicing your opinions to us on a wide variety of topics.”

Will take a look at it later but it looks like they want to get some immediate feedback on developments / issues etc. Of course, the real value is how much notice is taken of these forums.

Yes, nothing about paying for my time. At least the Hilton one gets $1 or so per activity.

Hilton take absolutely no notice of the feedback on theirs. Well maybe they do and just do the opposite

Yes. There was an invite to an event at Gatwick for which they were paying £130 plus travel next week but I couldn’t make that. Seems interesting. If they listen & act especially with the food it will be worth it

Wonder how “exclusive” the invite was? Some kind of reward would be nice indeed – even if we’re talking the possibility of winning some socks (those Upper ones they had briefly when they introduced the horrible kraft paper pouch were great). It would be great to imagine them paying attention though, more than anything.

It’s pretty ubiquitous. The invite pops up every time one completed the post flight questionnaire.

It’s not very exclusive -I’ve flown Virgin once, in 2005, and I received an invitation.
