Hi,
Question regarding taxes. Booking LHR-MIA for myself and my 19 month old in upper. I’ve booked my daughter her own seat. My taxes are £998 and they’ve charged her the same – is this correct?. For a lap infant the taxes are a lot let but I get she’s not a lap infant. I thought that the taxes were based on the age of the child or is this incorrect?
Any infant / child discount is on the base fare elements only.
The APD child reduction only applies to economy for example.
If you look at the detailed fare breakdown you should be able to spot which of the taxes, fees and surcharges are charged in full and which are discounted,
Sorry. Should have been clear. This is a reward booking. So the £998 is the fees/taxes element. But both me and my 1 year old daughter have been charged £998 in taxes/fees
If she has her own seat she (well you!) pays the full taxes, fees and surcharges
