Upgrade question

I have an economy flight already booked. If I upgrade to CE now will I get CE tier points? I would hope you would but thought I would check here.

Yes – if this is a cash economy and using cash to move up to CE.

so I have an interesting one. I have an avios booking and have been offered 399 for an upgrade to world traveller plus – will that get tier points if I pay for this?

You shouldn’t – an avios booking shouldn’t get tier points etc even if upgraded. You might get an error in your favour, but don’t count on it.
