Hey, I’m planning a 241 trip with Mrs + baby this year before baby turns 2.
Only CW availability showing at the moment (LON – NYC).
If I book CW, then F becomes available, will I be able to make a change with Avios by calling BA?
Any past experience, insights, warnings welcome.
Yes you can do this really easily. Just call YouFirst and ask them to upgrade to the first tickets that have become available. You then just have to pay the extra Avios and any change in taxes/ fees
I assume there’s a £35pp change fee as well?
Yes you can make the change. There’ll be a £35pp fee once BWC ends.
I wouldn’t get your hopes up though, First redemptions are thin on the ground these days.
Awesome thanks so much for your info. Thanks great to know.
I’ve been monitoring seatspy (following a few aborted holiday plans earlier this year (personal reasons, not covid or airlines)) and I’ve been noticing the fontaines free up between a week and a day or so before.
I’m guessing it’s limited F availability on the remaining 777s.
