Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club US number didn’t answer…

Called at 11:45pm only to be stuck on the line until 12:15pm when we gave up! Anyone had this experience or got any tips for making sure you get through?

Luckily we managed to secure CPT to LHR CW seats online. No idea how – fingers moved like lightning and fortunately had all card details and information pre-populated so it was quite speedy.

Not an experience I want to endure again however. For the outbound, we had no issues getting through and actually had to wait 5-10 minutes on the line whilst the agent happily waiting til 12am and secured.

My experience: It’s hit and miss.
In response, I try phone and on-line.

That’s a shame. Luckily I whipped the laptop out in time and somehow managed to secure. Very lucky as by the time I finished with the booking, the rest had all gone! CW and Premium

Remember the US changed clocks last weekend so are 4 not 5 hours behind us for a few weeks until we change in a few weeks.

Several times I have waited for almost /over an hour. On one occasion, losing the return seats I wanted as I didn’t have enough Avios to book separately and claim the 50% refund.

On one occasion, the line dropped after 1 hour, so the following attempt I employed a tactic of using 2 Skype accounts on 2 devices to give myself a “2nd chance”, placing myself 10 minutes behind in the queue.

On other occasions I’ve called and got through within 10 minutes- too early. There’s no exact science to this as far as I can tell. Potentially having status and using one of the dedicated lines might give an advantage, but I think that would be pretty hard to prove.

Several reports a few weeks back suggesting this route of booking at midnight/1am will be cut off.
