Discuss today's stories:
Trying to get a quote on a 1 adult 2 children trip LON – NYC in October 2025.
I have 3 Barclays upgrade vouchers in my account, expiring Nov 2025, and beyond.
Quote for 1 adult using 1 voucher – OK.
Quote for 1 adult 1 child using 2 vouchers, or 1 adult 2 children using 3 vouchers – impossible. The voucher selection screen does not allow me to choose 2 vouchers.
Quote for 1 child using 1 voucher – impossible. System says there must be at least 1 adult in the booking.
Using Chrome, and Edge on a windows laptop.
Same behaviour using Chrome, and app, on an android phone.
Will I have to call?
Yes, just call for this, it will be probably be beyond BA’s IT! There is a way of booking with 2 vouchers but I don’t know of anyone who’s ever managed to apply 3 to the same booking. Also yes – you can’t make a standalone booking for a child online, so 2 plus 1 isn’t going to work.
Have you tried:
“ Select my flight. Proceed. Close the window showing one Barclays voucher ticked so I can proceed a second time at which point it then allows me to also select the second Barclays voucher. Because that is so intuitive.”
I don’t know if this might work a third time for all three of you.
Failing that, call BA on a day where there is no flight disruption!
As with the 241, the BUV rules do state that you can only use up to two vouchers per booking.
18. A member can use up to two (2) cabin upgrade vouchers issued under their Barclays Avios Rewards or Card for any one booking.
It might have to be 2 plus 1 then, or save one of the vouchers for another trip.

OMG this worked. How did someone figure out that this was the way to do it?!

Pants. I don’t mind paying full price for the other child but he’ll have to be on another booking? I suppose can call up and have them link the bookings but why do I feel like things are going to go wrong….
The 2nd adult needs to arrive 2 days earlier than anyone else which is why we can’t make a 4 people booking, or 2 bookings with 1 adult 1 child each. Would have made it so much easier. Such is life.

Just tried to get a quote and that quoted. Not sure if it’ll go through but I’m not ready to book yet. Fingers crossed, will cross that bridge when get to it. Thanks for the heads up!
