Hi all,
My wife and I will be travelling over new years eve this year and were hoping to use the dining credit on the 31st December and then sometime in the first week of January. Has anyone done this before. Is it possible to renew the dining credit at the start of January by contacting AMEX customer services?
Many thanks
You should already have it down as one of your offers on your Plat. if not contact chat. if yes, then you can use £150 for both UK and/or abroad on 31st December and £150 for both UK and/or abroad in January. Keep receipt notably for 31st December.
You just need to make sure you pay the bill before midnight on 31st ….
Separate question, how long does the cashback take to trigger? I used the offer for the first time on Sunday in what was noted as a new option (Beefbar) in Milan, so far no sign of statement credit but it has only been 3 days.

In addition to this great point a lot of places may charge a deposit to book. Every time I’ve experienced that the deposit is charged by a central booking team, not the restaurant itself, and it shows as such, meaning you won’t get the credit on the deposit as such a charge doesn’t meet Amex’s Ts&Cs
