Hi all, apologies if this has been asked before, but my search has not come up with the answer. I have a couple of upgrade vouchers and a ton of avios, so no issues with the avios cost etc. I am looking to fly from Heathrow to LA, but ideally want First class outbound (paid fully with Avios) and then return Club world (paid with avios at PE rate + upgrade voucher). Is this possible within the t and cs? I can see that the journey must orignate from the UK, but nothing in the terms to say that the cabin upgrade voucher is for only a particular journey, i.e outbound or inbound. Many thanks for help in advance.
From what people have posted so far, BA can apply the voucher to the return leg of a trip originating in the UK, though some agents don’t seem to know about this or how to do it. However, I think you would struggle to find anyone who was able and willing to apply it as you’re suggesting – but you won’t know unless you call and ask!
