Some advice as a first timer, if possible…
I am a red tier member with 100,000 points and a companion credit card voucher.
I looking at return Premium flights for 2 which are 66,000 points round trip + £974 taxes/fees.
Would it be better value to use my voucher towards this, or to just pay the whole 66,000 from my points? Struggling to know what best value is.
Are those saver seats? That sounds like a very good price for 2 following the recent changes.
Using the companion voucher would obviously save you 33k points, which is a lot lower than the 75k max value it now has. However, if you’re not going to be able to get better value out of it before it expires, you may as well use it. 33k Virgin points are still quite a lot to accumulate if you don’t earn a lot from flying.
