I don’t think I’ve ever used Virgin Points Booster. Does anyone know if these charge to a credit card as a Virgin Atlantic charge, and thus eligible for Virgin Points on a VAA Rewards+ card, or are they charged as Points.com (and therefore, I assume, ineligible)?
On the points I’m about to earn on a reward booking, I can double for less than £150, which would essentially make the flight profitable for me.
I did in March 2020 and the transaction credited on my VA Rewards+ ccard labelled “VIRGINMILESBYPOINTS” and earned Flying Miles in the usual way.

@WaynedP Thanks! Did you earn bonus points because it was recognised as a VAA transaction, or did you just get the regular ones? I assume it’s ‘virginmilesbypoints’ because Points.com are processing it (i.e. Virgin Miles by Points.com, but truncated because financial systems).
@AL Sorry, I failed to pick up on the nuance of your question first time around. Have just checked my statement and the Miles Booster transaction only earned 1.5 Flying Miles, not the 3 that it would have done if processed directly by Virgin Atlantic.
To be honest this question didn’t even enter my own mind back in March 2020 but it is a good one as I don’t think it would be unreasonable to expect a Miles Booster transaction to post with 3x Flying Miles given that it’s an offer made on the same Virgin Atlantic site as you book your flight tickets on.
Well spotted that the devil’s in the detail of the “points.com” processor which only posts with 1.5x

It’s Virgin Miles by points (.com) – so the description makes sense. It’s processed by points.com
