Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Various discounted (£879 – £1050) BA Open-Jaw J fares for next year

  • 91 posts

It appears that a lot of open-jaw tickets to North America for next year are pricing for £879 – £1050 with British Airways when originating in Spanish cities (i.e. Madrid).

For example: MAD-LHR-SEA-JFK-LHR-MAN (no flight between SEA and JFK however) but it is coming to £879 for June next year. There are lots of other combinations as well that could net immediate Silver Status with 6 legs.

Would you be able to “miss” the first flight and still complete the remaining segments

I would honestly pay someone to figure this out for me… don’t like travelling overnight & can’t find any flight that start in AM / early PM 😵‍💫

What routing are you trying to get

And the only flights back to the U.K. will be overnight flights as there is rocking horse I class availability on the daytime flights

The only BA/AA day flights from the US to LHR are from ORD, EWR, JFK, and BOS.

Thanks. How do you discover such fares? Building a TP run/optimising a trip with ITA Matrix? Is there a starting point to find something so low to work with?

Just fiddling around, some good deals out there. Tempting but I’m saving myself for Australia or South Africa

If you’ve access to BA hotline the fares are even cheaper and with soon-to-be old-school distance BA Gold Avios earning rates you’re into the realms of flying for free.

Lots of sub £1000 routings via LAS, MIA and IAD – I was looking around Jan/Feb. The offer seems widespread and very flexible as to destinations – nice spot!

Any good airport hotels near MAD?

And of course the BA multi flight tool offers few options whereas BA Hols has far more.

27 Feb is showing the day JFK-LHR as part of this deal for example.

That route works from Dub for £400 more which is still a bargain.

Shame I have no clue what my plans are for next year at the moment. Still too bogged down with all the 2023 trips – 1st world problems!

Anyone found one that involves BOS on the way back? If so I’ll keep playing with combinations to see if I can find something that works for us next May.

Played around with Boston myself but couldn’t find anything as cheap. So far the cheapest I managed to find is BCN-LHR-YYZ-JFK-LHR.
